Writing speech

WALT - use speech marks to show direct speaking.

Fill in the Speech Marks:

1. ‘’Hibernates’’, said the fox again. ‘’It means that he goes to sleep for the whole winter’’.

2. ‘’Sleeps for the whole winter!’’ I said.

3. ‘’That’s incredible’’. ‘’He must be the laziest creature alive’’. said the hare.

4. ‘’I am tired’’ the hare said and then drifted off to sleep.
